Tommy Moore

Owner and CEO


Tommy Moore is the owner and CEO of Self-Recovery, LLC. A recovering addict and alcoholic, Tommy has been clean from alcohol and drugs since 1995 after 19 years in active addiction. He began his career as a volunteer for a substance abuse treatment center and worked his way up from the bottom. Tommy has dedicated his life to helping suffering addicts and alcoholics. He has owned Self-Recovery since 2005.

Beckie Crumley, NCAC I

Chief Operating Officer


Beckie Crumley serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Program Director of Self-Recovery, LLC. She began working with Self-Recovery in February 2009 and has taken on many roles throughout the organization—beginning as a driver, then serving as an Assistant Counselor/Tech on the units, and steadily advancing through dedication, hard work, and continued education. Beckie earned her CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor) certification through the Alabama Association of Addiction Professionals (AAAP), followed by her NCAC I (National Certified Addiction Counselor Level I) through NAADAC. She remains a standing member of NAADAC and continues to uphold her certification as an addiction counselor. Her passion for supporting individuals affected by substance use disorder is both personal and profound. With over 17 years in long-term recovery herself, Beckie brings a deep sense of empathy and lived experience to her leadership. Her work is grounded in a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those navigating recovery. Beckie previously served on the board of directors for 17 years.

Jenny Tengblad, MSW, NCAC I

Program Director


Jennifer Tengblad, MSW, NCAC I is currently the Unit Manager and Program Coordinator for the Self-Recovery Program. Jenny began working with Self-Recovery in 2010. She is a certified addiction counselor and has a master’s degree in social work from Jacksonville State University. She is actively serving on the Board for: Alabama Association of Addiction Professionals (AAAP). Jenny is a recovering addict herself who has been in long term recovery since 2007 after 12 years of living in active addiction. She is currently a member of NAADAC and NASW.

Shane Petree, CRC

Community Outreach Representative


Shane Petree, CRC, is a Community Outreach representative for Self Recovery. Shane has worked with Self Recovery since November of 2021, and is currently the rep for the North Alabama region. Shane is a Certified Recovery Coach. He is also a person in long term recovery from substance use disorder himself, with a sobriety date of March 06th, 2021. Shane's favorite thing about working at Self Recovery is the ability to help others in recovery.

Amy Ashmore has been with Self Recovery since March 2019. She is a person in long-term recovery, with a sobriety date of May 31, 2017. Amy says she loves having the opportunity to help others just like her every single day.

Manda Turner has been with Self Recovery since August 2022. She is a person in long-term recovery, with a sobriety date of July 18, 2021. Manda shares that working for Self Recovery is the best part of her day, and she finds great joy in being of service to others.

Kerrie Blackwell, CRC

Unit Manager 


Kerrie Blackwell is a Certified Recovery Coach (CRC) and the Discharge Planner at the Anniston location of Self-Recovery. Kerrie has been part of the Self-Recovery team since August 21, 2021, and is in long-term recovery from substance use disorder since December 6, 2019. "I can honestly say that my life in recovery and the work I get to do is more than I could have ever imagined, and for that I'm truly grateful."

Tabatha Hubbard, CRC

Counselor


Tabatha Hubbard is a Certified Recovery Coach (CRC) and counselor at the Anniston location of Self-Recovery. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of South Alabama. Tabitha has been part of the Self-Recovery team since September 2024 and is in long-term recovery from substance use disorder since July 23, 2023. Her favorite part about working in recovery is the rewarding feeling of helping others who are struggling begin their journey in recovery.

Amy Hatcher is an Assistant Counselor / Tech at the Anniston location of Self Recovery. Amy has worked with Self Recovery since September of 2024. Her favorite thing about working at Self Recovery Medical Detox is being able to provide hope and inspiration to patients as they begin their journey toward sobriety. Amy is also a person in long term recovery from Substance Use Disorder, with a sobriety date of November 18, 2018!

Megan Gulledge

Assistant Counselor / Tech


Megan has been with Self Recovery since July 2025. She is a person in long-term recovery and celebrates eight years of sobriety. Born and raised in Pell City, Megan attended Pell City High School and now lives in Alexandria with her husband of five years and their two sons, Jason (7) and Braylen (3). She says she feels truly blessed to be living the life she always prayed for.

Wendy Goins has been with Self Recovery since April 2025. She is a Certified Recovery Coach and a person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder since August 7, 2023. Wendy shares, “In recovery, my life has been blessed more than I could have imagined. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my experience, strength, and hope with others as they begin their own journey into recovery.”

Jennifer has been with Self Recovery since May 2025. She is a person in long-term recovery with two years of sobriety and is deeply grateful for the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Jennifer enjoys leading groups, including paint therapy, and sharing her experience, strength, and hope with others. She is an artist, sponsor, and friend—and above all, a mother to her greatest blessing, her son Jax.

Misty Hughes is a NAADAC-certified addiction counselor and the Unit Manager at the Centre location of Self-Recovery. Misty is in long-term recovery from substance use disorder since March 10, 2021, and has been with Self-Recovery since May 2024.

Theresa McCain, CRC is an Assistant Counselor / Tech at the Centre location of Self Recovery. Theresa is a Certified Recovery Coach, and is also a person in long term recovery, with over 35 years of sobriety and a recovery date of October 25, 1989. Theresa has been working for Self Recovery since September of 2018, and has a great passion for helping people in addiction find the joy of beginning their journey in recovery.

Able Ramos, CRC is a driver and an Assistant Counselor at both the Centre and Eutaw locations for Self Recovery. Able has been with Self Recovery since 2022. Able is a Certified Recovery Coach. He is also in long term recovery himself from substance use disorder, and has been sober since January of 2022. His favorite thing about working at Self Recovery is the ability to be the first walking example of recovery in action someone coming into detox might see, allowing him to use his strength, experience, and hope to help someone else.

Scott Turner, CRC is a driver at Self Recovery. Scott has been working for Self Recovery since October of 2023. Scott is a Certified Recovery Coach and is also a person in long term recovery himself from stance use disorder, with a sobriety date of May 4th, 2020 and 5 years sober from drugs and alcohol! He is extremely open minded, optimistic, and comical.
